LcT is an established leader in audio and speech technology with over a dozen patents filed. Leveraging its success as a defense contractor for the past 10 years, LcT is now launching and licensing its patented Smart Microphone products and technology to the commercial marketplace. Smart microphones are microphones that listen; they have both transducers (“ears”) and digital signal processor (“brain”). The result: they reduce background noise, enhance the speaker’s voice, improve accuracy of automatic speech recognition (ASR) software, and enable 3D sound recording. The 3D sound includes immersive binaural, surround, and stereo sound. LcT is poised to create and dominate a new smart microphone market segment within the multi-billion dollar unified communications, speech recognition, and entertainment markets.
