Bob's Discount Furniture

Bob’s Discount Furniture was founded by Bob Kaufman in 1991 with its first store in Newington, Connecticut, and is headquartered in Manchester, Connecticut. Bob’s Discount Furniture was founded on the principle of selling quality furniture at an affordable price point, without any gimmicks or hassles. The company currently has over 100 stores in 16 states throughout the US. Product lines include living room, bedroom, and dining room sets as well as bedding and mattresses. All stores feature an “on the house” cafe with gourmet treats including ice cream, candy, and freshly baked cookies. Each cafe collects donations, and 100% of the funds are matched by Bob’s and donated to charity. In addition to the cafe collections, Bob’s Discount Furniture is involved in several philanthropic organizations through their charitable foundation, Bob’s Cares, donating over 2.75 million dollars each year. Some of the organizations supported by Bob’s Cares include Camp Rising Sun, Family & Children’s Aid, The Jimmy Fund, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters.
