RPAIR will help to support the Jewellery industry in what has been one of the toughest years on record, by enabling large and small retailers alike to have access to the RPAIR marketplace platform that connects watch and jewellery repair shops with customers so they can compare smart quotes on maintenance and repair work, acting as a channel for communication to simplify the repair experience for all. Receiving the funds from Innovate UK is an amazing opportunity, it has given us the boost we need to launch and start supporting the industry we are so passionate about through these troubled times. The funds will be allocated to research and development of the platform ready for launch in December. “The pandemic has accelerated the need to digitise the quoting and booking process so that repair businesses can continue to trade in a world where traditional face-to-face contact is difficult. Innovation in this space will unlock a new, bigger, online customer base to the repair industry. Through building trust in reviews and making repair costs easier for customers to access we hope to stimulate the market by encouraging people to get those watch and jewellery items out of their draws and get them repaired, serviced, valued or made into something else they love.”
