In 2009, Founder and CEO, Coletta Dorado recognized that healthcare facilities were facing challenges of inefficiencies and compliance issues when juggling between paper documentation and using multiple patient care and billing software to get through a day. Coletta started AZZLY to create a comprehensive solution that would eliminate the gaps and seamlessly manage patient care from intake & admissions through to billing, claims and collections. To make sure AZZLY would be a success, Coletta gathered a team of top medical, business and technology professionals to design and develop a vertically integrated healthcare solution. The goal was to deliver a continuum of care and streamline processes for the entire staff in one software for medical and clinical practices. In 2014, the AZZLY executive team was requested to provide the same streamlined solution for under served behavioral health and addiction treatment facilities to accommodate their unique processes and regulatory requirements. They began collaborating with Addiction Treatment Clinicians, Joint Commission experts, CARF and State Substance Abuse licensors to ensure that AZZLY’s software would be the best replacement technology for addiction and behavioral health providers. What was missing in behavioral healthcare and addiction treatment was the same rigid standards of care expected from medical practices. Because AZZLY served that sector, the detailed documentation and holistic approach to care was already built-in. People struggling with addiction and psychological difficulties deserve the same level of continued care as patients being treated for any other medical complications.
