In 2016, BodyMindLife embarked on a transformative journey, embracing technology to reinvent its business model. This forward-thinking approach, guided by a unique combination of data science and community focus, propelled the company to new heights of success, setting the stage for exponential growth and innovation. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, BodyMindLife faced unprecedented challenges. However, rather than succumbing to adversity, the company saw an opportunity to evolve. They pivoted their strategy, launching a teacher-focused platform and reimagining their entire approach to community engagement. "This process has been clunky but transformative. Our communities have had to undergo significant change and challenge and we are now redefining our culture as we build for the future. It has taken us 4 years to recover from from the pandemic." One of the most significant developments during this time was the creation of a community-owned model. In the near future, once the tech is embedded we will support local communities to fractionally own the property that houses future studios, BML becoming the tenant to the community. Our goal with this aspect of BodyMindLife is to create a sense of shared responsibility and collaboration, fostering a deeper connection with our teaching and student communities. This builds resilience within the community who have an opportunity to own a fraction of the realestate they teach and practice in. Underpinning this community-centric ethos is web 3 technology, which is revolutionising the way BodyMindLife operates. Through blockchain integration, the company has streamlined processes, reduced costs, and empowered both teachers and students alike. Kula.Digital was co-founded by Phil Goodwin and Peter Tippet in 2024 and has a tech based product suite that is enabling this next BodyMindLife evolution. We have relaunched our Byron Bay studio with this new technology in the last few weeks and while there were the expected speed humps with first release, we are ready to integrate into our Sydney locations over the next few months.
