University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff

The University of Arkansas campus houses a museum, a student-run radio station and an internationally-touring choir as well as numerous work, research and study abroad opportunities. However, while there are all of these offerings and more, at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff you are never just a number. Pine Bluff’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs are offered through distinctive schools including the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Science, the school of Business and Management, a school of Education and the college of Arts and Sciences. Students at Pine Bluff who are not yet interested in a bachelor’s degree or simply wish to test the waters of academia may also get an associate’s degree or certificate. Fellowships, which allow students to pursue an extended period of tuition-free study or research, as well as internship opportunities for those interested in building professional experience are some of Pine Bluff’s additional offerings. Students at Pine Bluff work closely with professors on their academic pursuits. Since the school is deliberately kept small enough to be intimate, Pine Bluff students also get to be part of a tightly knit student community while exploring one of more than 90 student organizations dedicated to arts, politics, recreation, culture and other interests. A record of college prep courses, a high school diploma or GED and ACT or SAT scores are some of the requirements for freshman admission. Students may apply for merit scholarships, which are awarded based on academic achievements; they may also apply for need-based grants and loans. University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is an HBCU.
